Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5s ZE550KL is confirmed! a more powerful Asus ZenFone 2 Laser.

The New Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S comes with similar design with Arc Back, Rear Volume controls, and metal-brushed finished that houses the same 5.5 inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass for immersive viewing pleasure.

Better computing power as it packs Snapdragon 615 with Adreno 405 GPU that is supported by ample memory at 3GB and internal storage at 32GB. This should rival Asus own ZenFone Selfie in terms of performance. This should be great news for gamers and multi-taskig users.

Optics remains the same with 13MP primary rear camera at f/2.0 apeture, 5P Largan Lenses and has Laser Auto Focus and LED Flash. Front Camera is at 5MP also has f/2.0 apeture. My use of Asus ZenFone 2 Laser brand won me some great prizes with mobile photography so I am confident that the Laser line would deliver. What I like about its camera, is it is great dealing with light, it focuses fast and offers manual mode for more creative control.

WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS is available as your regular set of connectivity features. Cellular Data is handled by ultra fast LTE if not HSPA+ / 3G via which ever sim you use either Sim 1 or Sim2 as this a Dual Sim handset.

Runs Android 5.0 with Asus ZenUI on top plus multiple Asus value-added applications.

Carries the 3000mAh battery but with higher more power packed processor, battery life would not be the same as the old Laser 5.5. Best pair it with Asus ZenPower.

Huawei T1 7.0 Plus 3G Quick Impression and Review Price Specs Philippines

Huawei just revealed today their new budget tablet - Huawei T1 7.0 Plus.

Huawei T1 7.0 Plus comes in polycarbonate patterned frame complimented with gold aluminum back plate. Hardware keys are located at the right side with power  lock and volume locker as well as compartment for MicroSIM and MicroSD slot. It is relatively thin and light which is great for easy storage and portability.

It sports a 7 inch WSVGA IPS Display powered by Spreadtrum SC7731G Quad-Core Processor coupled with 2GB RAM with 16GB of internal storage. You can expand via MicroSD for up to 64GB. Performance wise it does run fine but with some hicups here and there but ample RAM really helps in managing multiple apps running on the background. We ran Antutu and it did score a decent 18K. It should do be enough to run your social media games.

Basic connectivity is present with WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. 3G cellular data as well as Phone and Messaging Functions is supported as it carries a Sim card slot. You can lock your signal to 3G so your data is fixed  USB-OTG is supported so you could still plug in your USB to view your files or your favorite movie.

As for optics, a 5MP AF Primary rear camera with 2MP FF Front camera, just for basic social media captures and videos. Both cameras has f/2.8 aperture so you need to have at least decent amount of light but not recommended for low light environment. See Samples Here:

It Focuses well as you can see at the left side, Foreground is focused while on the right the Background is in focus.

Color was on point for the rear camera, as you can see the delicious burger I had earlier.

Quite a surprise though, my selfie turn out good not bad as I expected. Even at ISO 600, its less grainy but still make sure you do have light source when taking a picture.

Runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Huawei EMUI 3.0 on top. Huawei opted for a simple yet youthful look and manageably less bloatwares and added useful features such as Power and Network Management as well as some customization options.

Carries a big 4100mAh battery is quoted to last 12 hours of non-stop entertainment Video Playback, 8 Hours Web Browsing. and 20 hours of Voice Calls.

The Neo N81 sports a 8.9 inch HD (1280 X 800) IPS Display powered by Intel Atom Baytrail 3735F Quad-Core with Intel HD Graphics coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB Internal Storage. Got to it out as I was attending meetup of Windows Phone Philippines. Shout out to you Guys!
Anyways here it is.

The Neo Shift N81 utilizes magnets to attach the tablet to the keyboard dock as it goes from tablet to Laptop Mode. Just pull it out, if you gonna use it as a tablet. There's a small track pad on the keyboard dock and it supports touch gestures for scrolling and the like. The keyboard keys is reasonably sized and is comfortable to use. It has power, volume rocker and windows/home hardware keys. There's a notification light near the front camera. The convertible is very light and portable and easy to just put on your messenger bag if you're always on the go.

Ports are located on the right side of the tablet. On the keyboard dock, there are two full pledge USB ports. I like the checkered pattern that adds a cool accent to the aesthetic of the tablet.  The sim card slot is located at the center and with it adds 3G connectivity to the tablet. Oh tried charging the tablet via powerbank and with a at 2.1 amps it works!

Turning it on, it boots in portrait mode so you choose which OS will you boot into whether Android KitKat or Windows 10. If I am correct this is the first Dual Boot with Windows 10 pre-installed out of the box. When switching between OS, in Windows 10, you need to shutdown first then boot into Android while when in Android, you can just long press the power button and there's an option to boot into Windows.

Oh checking out the storage it has only 15GB available and the rest is used by the system. You can expand though via MicroSD. With android the system eats up 500MB of RAM out of 2GB RAM. It is very efficient and i did'nt notice any lag when running on Windows 10 or Android.

Camera is decent enough for your basic social media needs but please do make sure you have enough light source.

The NEO Shift N81 is turning out to be a bang-for-buck dual boot tablet laptop convertible with its quality build, efficient hardware and 3G connectivity. Cherry Mobile Flare Lite 2 is more on a compact side with a 4 inch display while Flare J1 at 5 inch. Both Smartphones are powered with Quad-Core Processor and has 4GB Internal Storage, expandable of course via MicroSD. No word yet on RAM.

Another, similarly spec device is POP UP that's sports a 5 inch HD 720p IPS Display and is also powered by Snapdragon 615, 2GB RAM and 16GB Flash storage. I am surprised by its size as it has big screen and the bezel were just right to maneuver from portrait to landscape. I don't know if it just me but it does have a bit of a heft to it. The size is just right as I was just like holding a magazine. It was quite zippy and touch registers pretty well. My main issue was the textured back which is prone to dirt buildup. Overall, it is very decent budget big screen tablet that delivers smooth performance and fluid android experience. Comparison to competition? Well the brand speaks for itself as it assures you of top quality products and availability of accessories.
