MyPhone my32 set to be sold on December 3, 2015!

We got a chance to play around with a review unit. It is made of plastic construction with round sides and corners. It is very light and handy though the back pretty much attracts fingerprints and smudges. Capacitive keys are just painted on and they don't have back lighting. Top houses the 3.5mm headphone jack. On the right side are the volume rocker and power / lock button. At the bottom is the microUSB port.

The new MyPhone my32 sports a 5 inch HD IPS Display. Screen is bright and detailed enough including correct color reproduction. Well if you encounter any imbalances, i found there is color correction mode in accessibility setting to adjust with your preference or eye. ClearMotion Technology enhancement is present to enhance your viewing pleasures especially videos.

MyPhone my32 is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core Mediatek MT6592 Processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal Storage that can be expanded via MicroSD. Antutu Benchmarks reach 29K. Navigating the device I haven't experience any lag and I am sure it will handle your social media apps as well as games.

Runs Android Lollipop out of the box with slightly altered UI. Notification looks like that of Android Marshmallow. There are a few added applications by MyPhone but if you don't want to use them then you can simply uninstall to free some space.

For it optics, it makes use of Samsung Sensor for its 13MP Rear Camera assisted with LED Flash. You also get a 5MP selfie front camera. Gave it a dry run, focus is fast and accurate though i felt it to be grainy especially in low light. This might be because of aperture size with rear camera at f/2.8 and front at f/2.4 which means front camera takes better in low light. There are no problem in taking photos in bright conditions. There is HDR modes for both front and back camera as well as voice capture feature. New camera modes such as live photos (though recorded in 3gp) and motion track mode (focusing on moving objects). For video recording it supports Full HD.

Day Shots. Little less saturation and contrast but still shots are good.

Left Shot Focuses on Swish and Right Shot focuses on the background.

Even at lower ISO, I find it to be grainy.

Just Decent Shots for Selfie Camera

Only regular set of connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSPA+ cellular data connection is available. This is a Dual Sim Dual Standby handset and both sim card supports 3G. USB OTG is NOT Supported.

Battery is only 2000mAh, it does last a day of moderate usage of course but if you are into gaming and data might I suggest a powerbank. Will do a stress test.

Bottom line, MyPhone my32 is a reliable smartphone High Definition 5 inch display, quality grade internals with ample memory and storage, dependable camera and Android Lollipop for budget price.

MyPhone Infinity Lite - Pocket Friendly HD Octa-Core

Infinity goes cheap... MyPhone brings out cheaper Octa-Core with Infinity Lite. Was expecting this from the get go with release of other brands (Arc Mobile Velocity, Cherry Mobile Magnum S) to compete growing Xiaomi threat.

The Infinity sports a respectable 4.7 inch 720p HD IPS Display, this size will ensure a very pocket-able device easy to carry around. Powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core Mediatek MT6592M Processor and Mali450-MP4 GPU coupled with 1GB and 8GB Internal Storage, it wont be a push-over either. Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, you have efficient and optimize OS.

Standard connectivity is assured with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. Stable HSPA+/3G got your data-needs covered (network dependent).

With regards to optics, it features 8MP primary back camera and 5MP front camera. This setup should be decent enough for your regular captures and video recording plus very detailed selfies and video chats. Yet NO sign of LED Flash.

Battery life is just a measly 2000mAh. This is quite worrisome for it packs an HD display and octa-core which are power hungry. For not so heavy user, it will last the lay or two but for gamers might I suggest a powerbank.

We welcome MyPhone Inifinity Lite in the shift to more powerful phones at budget price. The Octa-Core Mediatek chipset is very capable running fluid Android KitKat experience and smooth gaming experience. HD quality screen is also another plus point for detailed viewing experience. 8MP is the next industry standard but that 5MP will surely boost its popularity amongst selfie-addicts. However, with so much powerful hardware that will be too much to handle for its low-capacity battery. Priced at 7,999.00, it should compete for the title of Octa-Core ng Bayan but with an early release and MyPhone popular branding it is king for now.

Antutu Score is Great and should be competitive with the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note (Not Enhanced). I have expected this much with Mediatek MT6592M with comparison to Lenovo A850+ with MT6592 that scored 28K. It may be Lite by name but still it is a powerhouse of a device.

It seems it also offered by another brand in the form of Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290.

MyPhone goes premium with aluminum-clad Ocean Elite. By the look of things, it kinda have that Nexus 4 shinning shimmering back and comes with an aluminum frame. Design-wise, one word, Stunning.

The Device sports a 5 Inch HD IPS OGS Display powered by 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6582 Quad-Core Processor and Mali400-MP2 for graphics coupled with 1GB RAM and ample 16GB of Internal Storage.

For its optics, it packs 13MP primary Camera with Flash and 5MP front. 

WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSPA+ data connectivity, the regular candidates for connectivity features plus USB-OTG.

Sensors are as follows: Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, Gravity Sensor.

Battery is just at 2000mAh. For a 5 inch HD, guess you need a powerbank but if you are not a heavy user then all is well.

At 8,999.00, the price comes with the premium materials used on the Ocean Elite. You do get HD display that is efficiently powered by MT6582 processor. Abundance of Storage space at 16GB but NO microSD Expansion slot but you can always connect your external hard disk or flash drive via USB-OTG. Still runs on Android 4.2 Jellybean, so No KitKat. Camera is interpolated to 13MP and maybe so is the front (processor supports upto 8MP only) but still decent. Overall, I say MyPhone is updating its design for its phones though with Xiaomi here might as well consider shedding price down.

MyPhone Ocean PRO and ICEBERG slim

MyPhone releases two new handsets - Ocean PRO and Iceberg Slim.

Lets start with Ocean PRO that sports a 5.5 inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS Display so therefore it falls within Phablet category. It runs Android 4.2 Jellybean powered by 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6582 Quad-Core Processor and Mali-400 MP2 GPU. Internal storage is at 4GB and 1GB RAM. Hardware is at par with what other competition is offering but that Big Screen is hard to come by even if it is qHD.

For its camera, its equipped with 8MP primary snapper (Yes, with LED Flash- See Picture) and 2MP front. MyPhone also added some nifty features.

According to what is posted on MyPhone Facebook Page, it supports Wireless Display and USB-OTG and I am sure that it will pack the usual as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSPA+ with today's standards. Battery is ample at 2350mAh.

Overall at 6,999.00 Pesos, the Ocean PRO is a great find if you are looking for a big screen with all the necessary hardware and features for entertainment, work and socials.

Now lets move to ICEBERG slim, seems MyPhone has caught the Gold Rush with this one. The unit back is covered in gold (paint), 7.8mm thin, and said to be lightweight.

The device sports a 4.7 inch HD (1280 x 720  pixels) IPS Display. It's internals is same with the Ocean PRO from the Processor, GPU, Internal Storage, RAM and Connectivity features. 

It does have better optics, at 8MP rear with Flash and 5MP front. However it falls short at only 1800mAh non-removable battery.

In conclusion, ICEBERG slim seems like Coke Zero with its Gold finish though lacks the Ahhh with its features. Beauty has its price but then again slimming down the battery might lead passed-away (passed-out) moments. haha Priced at 7,999.00 PhP

MyPhone Rio Goes Lite

If you want Rio but then again cant seem to cough up those extra bucks then good news presenting Rio Lite.

It brings that colorful vibe that the Original Rio possess even with a cut back on somethings. It does sport a 4.7 inch IPS Display powered by 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor with 4GB Internal storage and 512MB of RAM (talk about major cutback). Comes with also 5MP rear and 2MP front (uhh good for selfies). All in at only 3,999.00

However it must be noted that with an additional 1000 pesos you do get the Full Rio (see here). Cutbacks from display, ram to camera and maybe the battery does not bode well with Rio Lite price range. MyPhone can do better.

One notable feature is that its MicroUSB port serves as a host for USB devices. Battery is at 2000mAh only which is pretty much adequate. At 4999, The Rio is very promising.

MyPhone Ocean Mini and Lite Literally

MyPhone updates its entry level line in the form of Ocean Mini and Ocean Lite.


The Ocean Mini sports a 3.5 inch HVGA (320x480) display while the Ocean Lite is at 4 inch WVGA (800x480).The devices are powered with Mediatek MTK6572 Dual-Core Processor with Mali-400 GPU. No word on RAM but most likely with reference to their competition, it should have 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

In terms of camera, the Mini has only 1.3MP Rear Camera and NO Front camera. The Lite has 3.2MP Rear with Flash and VGA front.

With regards to their connectivity, both have WiFi and Bluetooth... But there's NO 3G which is the Major Flaw so 2G Only.

To wrap up things, MyPhone is keen on delivering smartphones on all fronts and in this case for low-end and budget consumers. Then again, as competition gets serious and in the age of always ON, the omission of 3G is a deal-breaker. If it won't bother you then Ocean Mini and Lite will deliver your basic smartphone needs.

While online shopping... I stumbled on an unannounced MyPhone 8 incher tablet offering - the Tierra Pad 4.

The device packs a 7.85 inch IPS LCD Display powered by 1.2GHz Quad Core Mediatek MT8389M Processor (PowerVR SGX544 GPU) coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB Internal Storage.

Camera wise it has a 8MP primary camera with Flash and a 5MP front-facing. Guess you wont be disappointed with your selfies now haha.

On the side of connectivity, it packs the basic WiFi and Bluetooth tandem with OTG support. There's a single micro sim slot so therefore it has phone functionality (yes, it can do sms too).
