Cloudfone Excite 501o - Cheapest Octa-Core Android Smartphone

Presenting the most affordable Octa-Core Android Smartphone (for now) in the Philippines, Cloudfone Excite 501o.

The 501o will house a 5 inch qHD IPS Display powered by 1.7GHz Octa-Core Processor Mediatek MT6592 complimented with 1GB RAM and 8GB Internal Storage. Cloudfone GEO 400q+

Cloudfone has updated its GEO 400q with a + sign. The GEO 400q+ have almost the same specs with an exception of one key important part.

The new device still sports the same 4 inch FWVGA (854x480) Display powered by the same 1.3GHz Mediatek 6582M Quad-Core SOC which brings along MALI-400 MP2 GPU. Storage is 4GB for internal and expandable via MicroSD up to 32 GB.

Same goes with the camera and connectivity. It is equipped with 5MP rear and VGA front camera combo but NO Flash. WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSPA+ is on board. Battery is ample with 2000mAh.

The one thing is that its RAM has been upgraded to 1GB from 512MB. This is quite important for multitasking and running memory intensive apps.

To sum it all, Cloudfone really needed to update its line up. The 400q+ offers better display and is powered with a very reliable processor. Now that it has 1GB RAM, you have less worry of crashes due to lack of memory. It offers also the basic sets of camera features and connectivity though I must say they could have added LED Flash for better captures in low light. At 3,999.00 Pesos its worth every penny.

Cloudfone 400dx: Entry Level Power

Cloudfone is on a roll with its releases and now here comes a powerhouse literally in the form of Cloudfone Excite 400dx.

This entry level device sports a 4 inch WVGA TFT Display and like other key players makes use of 1.2GHz Mediatek Dual-Core MT6572 Processor with Mali-400 GPU. It also applies to internal storage with 4GB on board and 512MB RAM.

In terms of optics, it sports a 5MP rear / VGA Front camera combo that Lacks Flash. In terms of connectivity, HSPA+ is listed for data but no word of WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS but with todays standards they should be there...

What set it apart from other smartphones at 2,999.00 is its battery at 3000mAh so you know why its a powerhouse compared to 1500-2000mAh on other brands. This surely is a winner for Cloudfone cause people looking at those price range look on staying connected for days and Excite 400dx surely delivers that.

Its Available at Kimstore... But I found one on Sulit or to say OLX at a higher price.

Update: So seems that Cloudfone will be offering it with another 1400 mAh battery. So that makes two batteries that you can interchange when your running low. With that, you get another back case. For a steep price, you surely get more than what you pay for.

It looks like Cloudfone is strengthening its android line up and with the new Excite 500q, its getting serious business.

At price alone you will surely get excited to buy the 500q... Wait a moment before selling out those hard earn money you need to know makes device so worthy.

Lets begin, it sports a 5 inch 5-point Multitouch capacitive display with a FWVGA 854x480 pixels resolution. If you think damn not even qHD, just for your info they are just a difference of few pixels. Another thing to consider, with competition in the price range they only have lesser touch points (cough, screen size) compared to 500q.

Upon checking with website of Cloudfone, I have stumbled upon Thrill-450q, 4.5 inch QHD OGS, Quad Core with 1GB Ram and sporting 12MP BSI Rear Camera and 3MP Front Camera. But wait a minute upon checking the full specs it states it is Dual Core with a non-existent Andreno GPU 230? I guess a typo. But anyways here is Cloudfone Quad Core Thrill 450Q. No release date but it is priced competitively for only PHP 8999. Will Cloudfone succeed in stealing some limelight from Myphone and Cherry Mobile? Your thoughts?
