Alcatel IFA 2015 - OneTouch IDOL 3C, POP UP, POP STAR, GO PLAY, PIXI First

Alcatel announces its latest sets of Android Smartphones -  IDOL 3C, POP UP, STAR, GO PLAY, and PIXI 3.

Starting of Idol 3C which takes cues from original Idol 3, retaining fully reversible feature and 5.5 inch Full HD Display but now comes with colorful interchangeable back case. A 64bit Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 is its SOC with Adreno 405 coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal Storage. It packs a 13MP Rear camera at f2.0 5-elements lens and 8MP selfie camera. Full set of connectivity features with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and LTE data connection. Comes in 2910mAh Battery.

Another, similarly spec device is POP UP that's sports a 5 inch HD 720p IPS Display and is also powered by Snapdragon 615, 2GB RAM and 16GB Flash storage. Same rear camera at 13MP f2.0 but for its front it is only equipped with 5MP. Connectivity is the same as Idol 3C with just the absence of NFC. Powered by decent 2000mAh Battery.

Moving on to POP Star that comes with assortments of customized back case in Funky collection with “psychedelic designs”, Leather (Pleather) collection, Fashion Collection and Nature-Eco collections that will sure be a very personalized experience, enabling you to choose and change according to your mood, style and feel. It comes in modest specifications with its 5 inch HD Fully Laminated IPS Display. It will come in two variants, the 4G model will be powered by Mediatek MT6735P Quad-Core Processor with 16GB Internal Storage while 3G Model comes Mediatek MT6580 with 8GB Internal Storage. Both have 1GB RAM of Memory. Camera features a 8MP primary rear camera with LED Flash and 5MP Fixed Focus Front Camera. Regular sets of connectivity is available like WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. Battery is at 2000mAh.

Alcatel enters another realm with its OneTouch Go Play, offering IP67 certification resistance to water and dust. It must be noted that it is not water proof and its certification serves as dust tight and water immersion up to 1m for 30mins. Anyways, the smartphone comes in 5 inch HD TFT display and is powered by 64bit Snapdragon 410 Quad-Core Processor complimented with 1GB RAM and 8GB Internal Storage. Same optics as POP Star at 8MP rear and 5M Front Camera. Comes with a 2500mAh Battery.

Finally, last but not the least, its next budget smartphone Pixi First. Just the basic 4 inch WVGA Display powered by Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor accompanied with 512MB RAM and 4GB flash storage. WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS is also present as well as 5MP rear / 2MP Front camera combo. Cellular Data is limited to 3G or 2G. Battery pack is at 1450mAh. Measures 122. X 64.4 x 9.7mm.

Berlin, IFA 2015 - Acer outs its Jade Primo Windows 10 Smartphone supports Continuum!

Continuum is new function of Windows 10 smartphones that lets you turn it into full pledge PC by docking it and extending the screen to fit into bigger display as well as able to connect to keyboard and mouse.

The new Acer Jade Primo specs wise is more of flagship class smartphone with it 5.5 full HD 1080p Super AMOLED Display powered by Snapdragon 808 Processor. Comes with better optics at 21MP with dual-LED Flash and 8MP Selfie Camera. It will be shipped with whole suite of accessories for Continuum-ready experience such as docking station, keyboard and mouse.

No word yet on its availability and pricing. Will update as soon as the information is ready.

Acer new Android and Windows Liquid Smartphones IFA 2015 Specs, Price,

Acer updates Liquid line with new Android and Windows 10 Smartphones at IFA 2015 in Berlin.

Updating their liquid series starting of with Liquid Z630 / Z630S packing Android 5.1 Lollipop on a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with Acer own Zero-Gap Technology. More focus with bigger screen size and is complimented with bigger battery at 4000mAh. Under the hood, is powered by Medatek chip with Z630 having Quad-Core with 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal Storage while Z630S comes with an Octa-Core Processor and bigger RAM at 3GB and 32GB Internal Storage. In terms of connectivity, it is LTE Capable and houses the regular sets like WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Next Acer joins Selfie trend with Z530 and Z530S packing 8MP Rear and 8MP Front Camera combo that surely deliver high quality outputs from which side you take, Similar Mediatek processors is used but it will be market dependent in terms of RAM 1GB/2GB and Internal Storage 8GB/16GB. It also runs Android 5.1 Lollipop but on a 5 inch HD IPS Display. Same connectivity features as Z630/Z630S.

Acer wants everybody to experience  Android or Windows 10 with Liquid Z330/M330. Z stands for Android and M is for Windows. They share similar specification at 4.5 FWVGA Display powered by Snapdragon 210 MSM 8909 coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB Internal Storage. Optics at 5MP both for rear and front. Supports LTE connectivity.

If you are still in a bind in terms of budget then they will be offering budget Z320/M320. Again, Z stands for Android and M is for Windows. More of just a downgrade of hardware making use of MSM8209, 2MP front camera and only supports 3G Connectivity.

Pricing and Availability
The Acer Liquid Z630 will be available in EMEA in September with prices starting at €199.
The Acer Liquid Z530 will be available in EMEA in October with prices starting at €149.
The Acer Liquid Z330 will be available in EMEA in October with prices starting at €129.
The Acer Liquid M330 will be available in EMEA later this year with prices starting at €129.

Lenovo IFA 2015: Power-Packed Vibe P1 and P1M and Two Front Camera Vibe S1 Specs, Price

Lenovo unleashes Power-Packed Vibe P1 and P1M as well as Two Front Camera Vibe S1 at IFA 2015 in Berlin.

Starting off with Vibe P1, that sports a premium metal-and-glass design with aluminum frame and subtly curved rear metallic cover that holds its 5.5 inch Full HD IPS Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by 1.5GHz Octa-Core 64bit Snapdragon 615 Processor with memory of 2GB and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. On the optical side, it is equipped with 13MP rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus with LED flash and 5MP front. It is a Dual-Sim handset and also support LTE. Regular connectivity features like WiFi ac, Bluetooth and GPS is also present. It main selling pot is its huge 5000mAh Battery and supports Rocket Charge with its 24W charger that give you close to 3 hours of talk time in 5 minutes of charging. You get up to 30 days of battery life on 4G and 44-45 hours of talk time.

The Vibe P1M is the smaller variant with 5 inch HD IPS Display powered by MediaTek MT6735P chipset with 2GB RAM also runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. Its connectivity is just similar to the P1 but with WiFi b/g/n. Similar optics also with 8MP and 5MP camera combo. Just downgrade to 4000mAh but only supports Quick charge and not Rocket Charge.
