Cherry Mobile Flare Lite 2 and Flare J1 Afforadable Flares

Cherry Mobile introduces new affordable Flares with Flare J1 and Flare Lite 2.

Cherry Mobile Flare Lite 2 is more on a compact side with a 4 inch display while Flare J1 at 5 inch. Both Smartphones are powered with Quad-Core Processor and has 4GB Internal Storage, expandable of course via MicroSD. No word yet on RAM.

As for connectivity, surely the regulars are present - WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. Internet connection is handled by HSPA+ / 3G. Both are Dual-SIM Dual Standby Handset.

Flare Lite carries basic camera features at 5MP Rear and 2MP Front. Flare J1 on one hand packs more pixel at 8MP Rear and 2MP Front Camera. Single LED Flash is there for light support.

Android Lollipop on Flare J1 and Android KitKat for Flare Lite 2.

We still need more info especially for Memory and Battery. Will update when I get those.

Cherry Mobile Flare S3 Mini, Flare XL and Flare S3 Power Specs, Price, Philippines

Cherry Mobile is at it again introducing a barrage of new phones. Here is their latest from their most successful range the Flare Series.

Lets start of with Flare S3 Mini, a 4 inch (WVGA me thinks) Android 4.4 KitKat smartphone powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor with Mali 400 GPU. (hmm first thought snapdragon because of the clock speed but it is Mediatek since it has Mali400 as GPU.) Internal Storage is at 4GB and expandable via MicroSD Slot. No word yet on RAM but at its price it should have only 512MB. It is equipped with 8MP Rear Camera with Flash and 2MP Front as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and HSPA+. Will come in many shades of color. It is Available! Spotted at Cherry Mobile Gateway Cubao.

From Mini to Flare XL Android KitKat Phablet with 5.5 inch IPS HD OGS Display powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core Processor Mediatek MT6592M supported by 1GB RAM and 8GB Internal Storage. Expansion slot via MicroSD. For its optics, a 13MP BSI Rear Camera with LED Flash and 5MP Front though i think there's interpolation magic here. No word on connectivity other than it supports Miracast and USB-OTG but it should have WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS as wells as HSPA+. Packs a 2300mAh removable battery...

Cherry Mobile Flare Lite Review

Got hold Flare Lite, the cheapest of the Flare series by Cherry Mobile.

The Flare Lite comes in all plastic design with black at the front while colored body and matte back cover that depends on what you choose from the 7 colors – yellow, white, green, magenta, cyan, black, and red. I really like the colored body that acts as a great accent feature with or without the back cover and reminds me of HTC designs aesthetic. It is very light but is well put together as there are no creaking when handling the device. The matte-like back cover provides grip and is anti-fingerprint that makes Flare Lite presentable at all times.

All ports are located at the top which is good as you won’t be flipping the handset when using the device while it is charging or listening to music. On the left side is the volume rocker and power/lock button. On the back is the dedicated 5MP Camera and Flash as well as Loudspeaker. Upfront is 4 inch WVGA LCD Capacitive Display.

Under the hood, it is powered by 1.0GHz Mediatek MT6572 Dual-Core Processor accompanied by Mali400 GPU. Memory is handled by 512MB RAM and 4GB Internal Storage. Upon testing, the Flare Lite runs smooth Android KitKat with slight lag and the same case goes when playing games and multitasking. However, Memory management is better and optimized as even with apps running on background it still performs. You have more usable storage with more than 2GB available.

In terms of connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth works with good coverage and fast connectivity. GPS also picks up location quick but also depends on environment. It supports HSPA+ data connectivity but data depends on your network provider.

The 5MP camera is acceptable though I find it washout and underexposed so make sure you have fair enough of light even with Flash. 2MP Front camera does its jobs that produce decent selfies.

Flare lite last about half the day of moderate use of games, data, wifi including call and text.

Overall, the Flare Lite is mix of style and function for entry level device. Optimize performance with Android KitKat matched with reliable and adequate hardware plus working camera and connectivity that covers all your Smartphones basic needs in a bright colorful fashion. Priced for 2,700 Pesos.

Cherry Mobile Flare Lite and Colorful

Cherry Mobile Flare gets lite and rainbow treatment for a colorful Christmas for budget price.

Flash Lite comes in bright colors with yellow, white, green, magenta, cyan, black, and red. Upfront is its "4 inch G+F Capacitive Screen" whatever that means. As it is Lite, it is powered by 1.2GHz Dual-Core Mediatek 6572 Processor with Mali 400 GPU accompanied by 512MB RAM and 4GB Internal Storage. Just entry level specs but on the flip side it runs Android KitKat 4.4.

Just the standard connectivity here with WiFi, Bluetooth and HSPA+ Data connectivity. For its camera, 5MP at the back with flash and 2MP front. It comes with modest 1300mAh battery so it should only be for moderate use to get trough the day or otherwise might get a powerbank for good measure.

It is said to be the cheapest Flare for only 2,699.
