The smartphone sports a 5.5 inch Full HD IGZO (by Sharp) Fully Laminated Gorilla Glass 3 Display powered by Mediatek new 64bit MT6752 Octa-Core Processor with Mali T760 MP2 GPU coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB / 32GB Internal Storage Options.

Its camera is also well equipped with 13MP Samsung Sensor with LED Flash f/2.2 aperture and 5MP front camera. You should get quality outputs for your pictures, videos, selfies and clear video chats.

Acer Liquid Z410 arrives LTE 64Bit Quad Core Budget Smartphone

Acer Liquid Z410 was announce at CES last January finally arrives and true enough it cost just below 7000 Pesos.

The Liquid Z410 looks rugged with its matte brushed with shutter button at the back and on the front houses 4.5 inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS Display with front facing speakers. Though its broad bezels diminishes its appeal but good thing it has capacitive buttons.

Under the hood, Acer makes use of new 64bit Quad-Core Mediatek MT6732 Processor with Mali-T760MP2 Processor coupled with 1GB RAM andd 8GB Expandable storage. This hardware setup is relatively new and it would be interesting to compare with Snapdragon 410 in terms of performance.

With the new processor, the Liquid Z410 gets LTE connectivity so much faster data connection. You do get the regular WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as well. For Optics, a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and 2MP Front-facing camera is available for your photo, video and selfies. Great sound quality is expected with DTS Sound on board.

The device runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2 with touch of Acer on top with their propriety apps and software. With its innards, it is surely ready for Android Lollipop.

Battery is at 2000mAh which should get you through the day or two of moderate use.

It is good that Acer released Liquid Z410 quite early so as it can compete with local brands and get an advantage by offering new hardware with Mediatek 64bit Quad Core and LTE for a budget price for only 6,990 Pesos.

The Acer One 10 makes use 10.1 inch IPS HD 1280×800 resolution Display enhanced by Acer Zero Air Gap and Lumi-Flex Display technology that provide rich viewing and great sunlight legibility.

Under the hood, it packs Intel Atom Baytrail-T Z3735F Quad-Core Processor with Intel HD Graphics coupled wth 2GB RAM and 32GB eMMC internal storage. For the Acer One it paired with keyboard dock with 500GB HDD built in for added storage. You can expand more storage through SD Card slot.

For connectivity, it houses a microUSB port for charging and otg, microHDMI to connect to an external display and 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless connectivity include WiFi and Bluetooth.

It is similar to Acer Switch 10 though I like Acer One design more. Resolution is main difference of the two other than that almost the same internal hardware and functionality. Acer One is nice follow through such that local brands introduced dirt cheap tablets and hybrids and so nice counter Acer. If you want a budget hybrid with a brand you know in computing then get Acer One S100x Tablet Laptop Hybrid

It feels sturdy and it looks very modern indeed. The hinge and magnet securely holds the tablet. Keyboard is also comfortable to use. Camera on front and back. Ports on the side of tablet with one usb port on the dock.

If you are thinking this is just your ordinary entry level then you are sure mistaken.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime sports a pretty basic 4.5 inch WVGA low resolution TFT display and packing only 1GB RAM and 8GB Internal storage. Don't underestimate this smartphone as it is powered by new 64bit Snapdragon 410 Quad Core Processor with Adreno 306 GPU, the likes you see in mid range phones like Samsung own Galaxy Grand Prime which should be able to handle every app including intensive apps and games.

You do get the regulars in terms of connectivity like WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The Core Prime is also a Dual Sim Dual Standby handset. It comes with 5MP primary rear camera with LED Flash and 2MP Front-facing camera, just normal CMOS sensors but it will just do fine with your social media captures and videos.

To conclude, I think we have a winner here. Simple yet Cute as well as Powerful and Efficient for a meager price tag, the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is worth considering for its bang-for-buck qualities. Samsung is on the right track concentrating on mass market not only with high end.

In terms of connectivity, it features an updated WiFi a, Bluetooth and GPS. Primary rear camera is set at 2MP same as the Lite. Battery stays at 3600mAh also.

MWC: Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Samsung unveils its two latest galaxy smartphones - The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung has focused on Design, Performance, and Enterprise. +Samsung Mobile

With design, Samsung focused on craftsmanship, making use combination of glass and metal. Metal frame filling the middle that has rounded edges and gemstone finishing as sandwiched by two thin built-to-last Gorilla Glass 4 and that makes these smartphones easy to hold as well as captivating to see, an improvement from its all plastic past.

The new Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge will offer "awesome" display at 5.1 inches Super AMOLED QuadHD (2560 x 1440 p) that translate to 577 ppi for more clear, vivid and detailed viewing pleasures.

For Memory, it makes use of LPDDR4 at 3GB RAM and Universal Flash Storage is employed for storage, a combination of SSD and EMMC for faster performance and reads with options of 32GB / 64GB / 128GB. With the new design of Galaxy S6 however storage expandability has been sacrificed.

Samsung is boasting the new camera with f1.9 aperture size that captures more light that improves low-light outputs for the primary 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. OIS is still present along with other nifty tricks Object Tracking AutoFocus, "Real Time HDR", and 4K Video Recording.

Complete range of connectivity - LTE Cat. 6, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, and IR blaster for both smartphones. Fingerprint has been improved with one touch feature rather than swipe. Heart rate doubles up as sensor for white balance. As for battery, a 2550mAh for Galaxy S6 and 2600mAh for the Galaxy S6 Edge. Built-in Wireless charging that supports most of industry hardware Qi and PMA for fast and cable-free well charging without additional case, or hardware needed.

A new, intuitive and cleaner TouchWiz UI to top of Android Lollipop. Samsung also introduces it new Samsung Pay to counter Apple Pay for mobile payments. Samsung Knox to provide security for business and enterprise.

Had a brief encounter with both flagship as Model Units were available at Digital Plaza at Gateway Cubao.

Samsung has really stepped up in construction as compared to previous plastic flagships. It is now top grade status but I am haunted by its similarities to iPhone 6 aesthetics. Handling was no problem as it is light and the curves really is great for grip though the back if fingerprint magnet. I also notice that the capacitive buttons cannot be seen nor does not light up so might guess if where the back and menu button for first time users.

Handling the Galaxy S6 Edge gave a lasting impression with dual curved glass that makes the screen seems endless and making it feel slim and thin. Lying flat you could see colors stream out and change when you get a notification from your favorite contacts. In terms of design, S6 Edge stands out.

Got to test the camera, both takes fast and produces great outputs. Though was not able to bluetooth the output as the Guard standing by is telling me that N Photo Op allowed. hahaha There was no lag when running and multitasking between apps so I guess the Exynos is quite capable.

Overall, Samsung really made things better for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Gone are their days of plastic construction and finally made something wonderful to look at and hold. Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon and Alpha View Specs, Price, Philippines

For MWC, Cherry Mobile posted via Facebook page yet another milestone for their company with addition of new smartphones for their Alpha Line. Though I guess Microsoft let slip out a few details.

Quoting whats posted via Windows Blog...
"We have worked with Philippine-based Cherry Mobile on their previous Windows Phones and we are glad to see their next generation of devices that includes the 5″ Alpha Neon and 6″ Alpha View devices announced during MWC."

Alpha Neon houses a 5 inch HD Display powered by 1.2GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 200 with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal Storage. It packs 2000mAh Battery.

On to Phablet Alpha View with its 6 inch HD Display also comes with same Snapdragon 200 quad core processor coupled with 1GB RAM but bit higher 8GB Internal Storage and 2600mAh Battery. This is great budget offering as it may serve as affodable alternative to Lumia Phablets that have very steep prices.

Both offer the regular connectivity features as HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as well as similar camera optics at 8MP rear and 2MP front.

Neon is Priced for 3,999 and Alpha View for 4,999 Pesos.

MWC: HTC One M9 and HTC Grip
