Taiwan Excellence: Excellent Lifestyles in the Philippines


The Taiwan Government through Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), R.O.C. Taiwan, and implemented by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) had launched the Taiwan Excellence Campaign. This campaign set to distinguished Taiwanese Own Brand Manufacturing (OBM) companies and their products and services certified with seal of excellence symbolizing innovation and high caliber value and quality.

As part of the MOEA 5 year Image Enhancement Plan in the 1980’s to develop Taiwan local industries to be globally competitive, the Taiwan Excellence award was established in 1992.

Taiwanese brands and their wares from all industry - Consumer and Enterprise, IT, Fashion, Culture and the Arts, Sports, Education, Transportation, and among others are scrutinized by international panel of judges on criteria of design, quality, marketing, research and development. After scores have been tallied and have been carefully evaluated, a selection of 30 winners of which 10 serves as Gold Awardees and the rest are Finalist and Silver Awardees will carry the Taiwan Excellence Seal and will be recognized with highest distinctions.



In the Philippines, the campaign has been launched in number of events and roadshows to help Filipinos recognize these excellent and award winning brands and products. The campaign is now on full swing with a slogan of "Excellent Lifestyles" bringing the latest Taiwanese Products in ICT, Transportation and Leisure, Home and Living, Living Appliance and Health Care as endorsed by Filipino celebrity Iya Villania Arellano.

With ICT, Taiwan has been a forefront in development in personal computing, smartphones, storage, network devices and other devices. A strong R&D, branding and comprehensive supply chain have helped built the foundations for thriving companies. Notable names like Acer, Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Genius for PC market and HTC serves as household name in smartphone industry. For Network, familiar brands D-Link and Edimax come to mind. Silicon Power, ADATA, Apacer and PQi makes up its strong storage portfolio. The Best and Innovative Technological products that has made its way to the Philippines.



Taiwan is the 9th largest export and 3rd largest import partner with our country as well as 7th largest foreign investor. With the campaign, this should strengthen our ties more as well as improve bilateral and economic relations.

MSI Primo 81 iPad Mini Ka look-alike
