LG X Screen Quick Impressions Camera Samples Price Specs Philippines

Hi Geeks! Today we had our first encounter with the new LG X Screen.

LG X Screen comes in all polycarbonate built with its chromed frame as well as glass fibers front and back panels. Comes in White, Black and Pink Gold color options.

Buttons are found on the side with volume rocker at the left while the power/lock button and hybrid sim / microsd compartment is on the right. Ports are located at the bottom with MicroUSB and 3.5mm audio jack.

LG X Screen idea derived from the two screen V10. Witth the X Screen it houses a 4,93 inch HD Main Display accompanied by 1.76 Second Display for notifications and shortcuts.

Powering the device is Snapdragon 410 Quad-Core Processor with Adreno 306 GPU supplemented with 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal Storage. You can expand storage but you need to sacrifice Dual Sim feature as you need the extra slot for MicroSD. Per initial boot up you have at least 10GB usable storage and at least 1GB RAM remaining.

With regards to camera, it features a 13MP primary rear snapper with LED Flash and an 8MP front camera. We got to tested it out. To be able to make full use of its MegaPixels you need to set the settings from 16:9 aspect ratio to a 4:3.

Had trouble focusing with the rear camera but output turn out well but needs more contrast and saturation as colors come out bland. Does have necessary details though as can be seen by text on the image. Rear sample reveal a f/2.2 aperture for the rear camera which is to say disappointing at this time as competition sports at least f/2.0, having twice exposure and better low light. Selfies did turn out fine although wished had just turn off beauty mode. Front has f/2.4 aperture and so if you are going to take selfie in the dark then make sure you have light support or use SelfieFlash Mode to illuminate your face in dim situations.

Runs on latest Android Marshmallow. LG UX UI seems more straight forward with its approach as it does away with app drawers and everything else is on the homescreen. Settings has been categorically LG as seen before.

As for connectivity, you do get the regular set ith WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. LTE is supported. It can be Dual Sim handset if you utilized the other hybrid slot for sim card rather than for microSD.

Carries a 2300mAh battery but with its glass panel design the battery is non-removable and is embedded.

Priced for 9,990 Pesos and is now available at LG Concept Stores and Dealers. It is also available with Lazada Philippines.

For basic consumers, LG X Screen should be able to cater their needs witth manageable size and scrreen, entry level internal hardware, camera good for social media sharing and sufficient battery life. Secondary screen should provide you best up to date notifications and ready shortcuts. Wished they lowered the price though as competition seems to offer more to the table.
