Opening the Box we are greeted by the ZenFone 3 Zoom. There lies an envelope that holds manuals and warranty cards including sim ejector pin. Inside, is also found a data cable, otg cable, charger and Zenears.

ZenFone 3 Zoom is beautiful, slim, sleek and sexy in an all metal built with rounded sides that provides grip and comfortable hold. Upfront lies a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080p AMOLED Display with 2.5D Curved Gorilla Glass 5 Protection that is sturdy as well as produced rich colors, deep blacks and great contrast that is fit for entertainment, games as well as viewing your awesome pictures.

***Update! Seems some units are plague with White Line issue that appears below the screen. It is advised to return to the store for which you bought the Zenfone 3 Zoom and request for a replacement. If still White Line Issue persist with replacement unit, you could still request for another replacement.

So far the system runs smooth well as expected from Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core Processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal Storage. You do get at least 52GB Free Storage and 2.4B available Memory. Here is Antutu Benchmark Score and technical rundown of its internals. If that's not enough for you, we played NBA 2017 in High Settings and it ran flawlessly. Game Genie integrated with the system helps keep things optimized for performance.

As for connectivity, it packs the regular sets with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. This is a dual sim handset but if you need additional storage then you give up the other sim slot for microSD. LTE is supported but we found ourselves using 4G+ or LTE Advance connection that resulted to blazing fast download and upload speeds. USB OTG is readily available using OTG cable provided by Asus.
Zenfone 3 Zoom has Fingerprint Sensor for personalized security. Near comeplete sensor from Accelerometer, Orientation, Proximity, Light as well as Gyroscope to support Augmented Reality Games and VR.

At the back lies the dual camera setup of ZenFone 3 Zoom. Both lens are 12MP, One is standard angle with Sony IMX362 Sensor f/1.7 aperture with Asus Dual Pixel Tech while the other  (left lens) is a telephoto lens that delivers 2.3x zoom that makes use of Samsung 3M3 sensor. OIS and EIS is present to keep thing steady and stable.

Asus PixelMaster Camera provides variety of modes including Manual Control for more creative control. With zoom, there is slight change as you will be able to switch between the two rear cameras.

Well I guess we should let outputs do the talking.

Neat Right? It should be useful when stalking, ah i mean getting close to your subjects. lol

We have here is day shot. Although with direct sunlight we found some dark pixels on some of our shots. It may be a manufacturing defect with our review unit. But it does capture fast and therefore lets you take quick snaps and so we were able to captured "Madam".

AMOLED Screen presents you with uber saturated colors when viewing pics but when you look at it via IPS or other LCD display, you shot may look pale therefore you need to tune to saturation to one level. Yet everything else seems in order as text are clear.

Zoom main element is of course zoom therefore macro and closeup shots.

For low light and indoor, i would suggest you use the Sony IMX Rear Camera as it is brighter and sensitive.

With Manual settings, Zoom does wonders from silky water, long exposure and Night Shots.

Front Camera is at 13MP with Sony IMX 214 at f/2.0. Outputs are like those produce by rear camera and with has Auto-Focus.

Moving on, Zenfone 3 Zoom carries a 5000mAh Battery which pave the way for hours of photowalk and internet connection on the go. 7 hours actually. It does support quick charge so you have less clinging to the wall socket.
