The new Vibe Shot sports a 5 inch 1080p Full HD IPS Display powered by 64bit Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 with Adreno 405 Graphics complimented with 3GB RAM and 32GB of Internal Storage. External Storage options is also available with microSD Slot that supports up to 128GB. Internal Hardware alone it is a beast and will sure have enough space for pictures and videos as well as able to see it in high definition.

Lenovo has also equipped the Vibe Shot will the regular connectivity features such as WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS and ultra fast LTE data connection so you wont miss those updates with your social media and can upload or download your media with stable internet connection.

Moving on to main selling point of Lenovo Vibe Shot is its Camera. Samsung Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 appears! Specs Price Philippines

Samsung updates its Galaxy J-Series Phones with Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5.

Samsung Galaxy J7 is the phablet model with 5.5 inch and while Galaxy J5 is at 5.0 inch. Both comes in 720p HD resolution Super AMOLED Display.

Internally, they share Memory and Internal Storage at 1.5GB RAM and 16GB. The Samsung J7 is powered by 64bit Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core Processor and Snapdragon 410 Quad-Core for Samsung Galaxy J5. The two Phones has MicroSD slot for storage expansion that supports up to 128GB. It must be noted that there is a Exynos Galaxy J7 but I guess the Snapdragon model will be for the Philippine Market.

Their connectivity and optics are slightly the same. With regular WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. LTE HSPA+ serves its internet connection on the go, LTE Model will not be sold for the Philippine Market. The Samsung Galaxy J7 will have NFC (Snapdragon Model).

The duo shall 13MP primary Rear Camera with f1.9 aperture at the back with LED Flash that takes brilliant photos even in low light. Both Phones are selfie-centric with 5MP that comes with Palm and Wide Selfie Modes and also Front Facing LED Flash for added light support. You are sure to have flawless with right exposure quality selfies.

In terms of software they run the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop with a dash of Samsung experience with TouchWiz UI.

Overall, its nice seeing Samsung updates its line of phones with competitive specs and up-to-date hardware and software. The Super Amoled Display should provide great visuals with rich color production. 64bit processor will worked well with 64bit Android Lollipop and so a very optimized performance with enough memory and storage. Well what do you expect from the number 1 Android maker but better and reliable smartphones.

Spotted via cmkcellphones.com but it seems it was an error on there part as LTE Model is not being offered. On lighter note, Samsung Galaxy J5 LTE model are available with carrier Globe and Sun Cellular with their postpaid plans.

Samsung Mobile Philippines already announced the SRP for both phones and is available now with Samsung Concept Stores.

Windows 10 Upgrade RTM

We are just days away from the official release of Windows 10 Upgrade! Excited?

Well just got hold of the official Windows 10 RTM (Released to Manufacturers) and is now on my Asus Transformer Book T100TA (32GB Model).

It must be noted that before installation i had only 3.6GB of free internal storage. It took almost 3 hours with multiple bootups to get things done and finally...

Windows 10 Home

Initially the machine was slower but this was because of the graphic card as it made use of just the basic Microsoft display driver. The system did update the drivers and after which became smooth and fluid.

On Windows 10, the charms bar disappeared was replaced by Action Center with notifications and quick toggles for basic functions.

Start button has returned. In Desktop mode, it shows you most used programs, settings and power options while on the side is your Metro Tiles. You wont be able to retain your Windows 8.1 Metro tile so you need some customization after you update.You will notice new applications such as Microsoft Edge, Phototastic Collage, Line and finally Candy Crush! If your coming from preview build 10166 this would be the most noticeable change you would notice. On Tablet Mode, you will only see your Metro Tiles but still the start button is there to access all your apps.

On your Taskbar, other than the start button , is search and task view. Task View displays your running apps and also multiple virtual desktops. You can create as many desktops as possible but will depend on if your hardware can handle it.

On 8.1, I seldom use store apps as i find them troublesome switching from desktop to metro just to run it. I am also limited to just two via snapview. With Windows 10, Store Apps opens in desktops and you can run many of them at the same time. Some of which also great replacement for legacy desktop apps. Since the Charm bar is no more, you will be able to access settings of Windows Apps via hamburger menu.

Moving on to Microsoft Edge, the new browser is sure is quick and fast in terms of loading your webpages. It also features Reading mode for distraction-free reading of webpages with no ads. With Web Notes, you can scribble, highlight, add notes and clip some parts of webpages which is great for notetaking while surfing.

Build 10240 is Windows 10 RTM

With ASUS Transformer Book T100TA 32GB model, it was not possible to create a recovery drive but after the update you can now create one.

With the Upgrade, the camera app was not functioning but an update of SOC Drivers did fix things. Only one bug i failed to fix is when playing MKV video files, the video is pixelated or glitchy but I guess video codecs is the main culprit. I am sure Microsoft will have an update to fix this.

Will be playing around with Windows 10. Will post updates if there are some new things i encounter or bugs

Meizu M2 Note! Specs, Price, Philippines

Lazada will be having Meizu M2 Note as one of their exclusive deal.

The Meizu M2 Note is the the succesor of the popular M1 Note. Design wise it looks like a mix of iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5c with rounded corners and colored shell. Upfront is a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS IGZO Display by Sharp that should provide great visuals.

The company is more focused on quality of their products that are sturdy and won't break under pressure as well as guaranteeing international warranty. However, the company failed to take into account that their current products is very pricy such that local brands and other international brand the same hardware at reasonable price. Hopefully they would adjust.
