Samsung Addresses Your Battery Needs - Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+

MANILA, Philippines - What is one important question that a shopper never fails to ask when out looking for a new smartphone? It’s this - How long does the battery last? Consumers and reviewers often go head over heels for the fastest processor chip, the brightest & clearest display, the most advanced camera functions, and the latest OS upgrades -- but all that will be for nothing if your smartphone’s battery can’t hold up. The battery indeed counts a lot because if you don’t get a day's worth of life from it, the device is almost pretty useless. In fact, a battery is never too much – it's almost always too little.

But what if there's a way to have the latest technology, advanced features -- and a long battery life to boot? Haven’t you always wished for a powerful smartphone with a battery that lasts longer than a just few hours? We take for granted how our devices are powerless (pun intended) without the battery. Samsung says that it's time to celebrate the battery by granting your wish.

Samsung cuts the need for multiple, constant recharging of your mobile device with its innovations in battery technology & power management. Particularly for its latest flagship smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Note5 & Galaxy S6 edge+ are both powered by a hulking 3,000mAh battery, which provides enough energy to get through a day's worth of intensive activities and the battery’s power consumption is kept in check by its powerful and efficient processor. The Galaxy Note5 & Galaxy S6 edge+ both run on the latest and most powerful processor developed by Samsung, the 64-bit Exynos Octa-Core 7420 chip with 14nm technology, and a whopping 4GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Note5 & Galaxy S6 edge+ are also both equipped with Ultra Fast Charging technology which shortens charging time taking out the habit of wall-huggers.

With Wired Adaptive Fast Charger, both devices can reach 100% from an empty battery in just 90 minutes – which is up to 2.5x faster than other brands. They also come with Built-in Fast Wireless Charging capability. When used with the Samsung Fast Wireless Charging Pad, both devices can charge from empty to full in just 120 minutes, which is ~33% faster than the previous model.

Simply put, Samsung has the cure for the wall-hugging charging junkie. Samsung's continuing innovations in battery technology & power management give users more freedom and less dependence from power banks, emergency cables, and USB slots. With Samsung, you'll be able to do more, and worry less over your battery.

There will still be inevitable moments when there are no slots, sockets, or battery packs available for a quick energy fix. Again, with Samsung, you can extend your smartphone’s battery to its limits through the industry-leading Ultra Power Saving Mode. By switching to this mode, your Samsung device will shift your screen to grayscale and minimize all background apps, while still letting you take & receive calls, SMS, access the internet, and select apps like Facebook™ & WhatsApp™.

Two Reasons Why Get Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+

There are two main reasons why you should get on the phablet train: the Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. With many brands taking Samsung's lead - now also offering large screen devices - it’s not only a question of whether you should choose to go big – but it’s also about knowing which device offers fearless innovations that truly fit your lifestyle best.

Bigger Style, More Substance

Samsung sought to reimagine the traditional smartphone aesthetic for its newest smartphones to offer significant improvements by way of design.

The seamless integration of glass and metal created a distinct timeless stylish look as well as durable with great ergonomics. Taking next level in terms of design and aesthetics that embodied by Samsung Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+.

The introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge earlier this year created an unmatched stylish footprint that blurred the line between fashion and technology. The leading-edge innovation of the world’s first dual-edge display, and the perfect balance of contrasting glass and metal materials married design and functionality so well. What Samsung created were smartphones designed to reflect an exquisite eye for design – making them stylish statements for their users.

Now the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, with its 5.7” screen, has the distinction of having the world’s biggest dual edge display. With more screen, watching movies or playing games becomes a truly immersive multimedia experience - coupled with UHQ (Ultra High Quality) audio upscaling, completing full entertainment experience. Its curved screen offers unique accessibility and functionality with Apps Edge which gives quick access to your favourite apps, and People Edge that able to communicate fast with your preferred contacts.

The Samsung Galaxy Note5, on the other hand, is the 5th iteration of the smartphone that single-handedly created the phablet segment, comfortably anchored on its heritage of being a powerful productivity device. Its indispensability lies in its hallmark feature, the enhanced S-Pen, which has improved writing and precision capabilities, and a variety of practical tools. With the Off-Screen Memo, users can quickly jot down ideas or information using the S-Pen even while the screen is off. Users can now more easily annotate PDFs, capture lengthy web articles or long images via the new Screen Write. Even the Action Memo introduced way back in the Galaxy Note 3 is now made more intuitive in linking writing to actions.

Now, Galaxy Note5 users can further maximize the productivity from their S-Pen through the new SideSync – which makes connecting your phablet to your PC or Mac easy, like never before. Equipped with features like Drag & Drop, instant file sharing is as easy as a click & drag.

More than just hype -- it’s what’s inside that counts

Of course, next to design is unmatched hardware, as both devices are packed with remarkably the best display, the most advanced camera, longer battery life, and faster charging.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ share a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED Display with sharp, crisp and an all around stunning visual experience. Under the hood, a powerful 64-bit Exynos Octa-core Processor with 14nm technology and 4GB RAM means a smoother, seamless user-experience and without heating issues.

Get most from their camera as both come with 16MP and 5MP rear/front camera combo with aperture size of f1.9 that produces stunning shots even in low light. For more creative control, manual camera settings is available.

Having the best display, the most advanced camera, and a full suite of productivity features would be for naught if your smartphone’s battery life could not keep up with your lifestyle’s needs. That will never be a problem as Samsung powers both the Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+ with 3,000mAh battery, supports Adaptive Fast Charging and has built-in Fast Wireless Charging. For times when you need to be on-the-go, you can get up to 4 hours of battery life in just a 10-minute charge. You can also get a 100% charge in 90 minutes using the Adaptive Fast Charger (up to 2.5x faster than other brands), or 100% charge in 120minutes using the Fast Wireless Charger (~33% faster than the previous Samsung Wireless Charger). If you’re out without your charger, you can always rely on Samsung’s Ultra Power Saving Mode to extend your battery to its limits, and still be able to receive and take calls, SMS, access the internet, and selected apps.

All that said, the distinction between each phablet also splits into its unique core capabilities: the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ being the top choice for those who lead multimedia-savvy and fast-paced lifestyles, and the Galaxy Note5 being that for productivity-seeking users who want to be able to do and achieve more.

Bottom-line? You can’t go wrong with either—but it will all depend on what your lifestyle demands from your smartphone. The choice ultimately comes down to which Samsung phablet fits you. And whichever Samsung Galaxy phablet you choose, rest assured that that you’re giving yourself, quite literally, a massive upgrade in terms of style and functionality that no other brand can deliver -- no hype here, just the real deal.
