Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016 7 inch Spotted Price Specs Philippines

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016 gets spotted! but something is missing.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016 comes in similar design but now it features a 7 inch display so making it more rectangular shape than of the old 8 inch model. A reduce in display size is compensated with a increase in resolution at 800 x 1280 making it 16:9 aspect ratio with 216ppi much better than before. This bodes well for 0000 pdfs but still works for movies but preferably on landscape. It is slim at 8.7mm and light at 283g which makes it great for carrying around your bag.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7 inch 2016 Front and Back

We got to look closer, display is bright and clear and it has a dotted patterned back. Sim slot and microSD Card slot is located left side while on the right is the power lock button and volume rocker. On Top is the 3.5mm jack and MicroUSB port. At the back is the primary camera and speaker.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7 inch 2016 Sides

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7 inch 2016 Camera, Buttons, Ports

Under the hood, the new Galaxy Tab A 2016 edition packs 1.5GHz Quad-Core Processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB Internal Storage. A MicroSD slot is available and supports up to 200GB if you need more storage.

As for optics, just the same setup of 5MP Rear and 2MP Front camera combo which should be enough for your social media captures and sharing. Speaking of sharing, the Galaxy Tab here A 2016 carries the regular set of connectivity - WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS. There is a sim card tray available so you have phone and messaging features as well as data connectivity on the Go handled by LTE / 3G.

Camera samples look here:

Just basics here as they only carry basics with aperture size of f/2.2. Yet i was surprise with the Selfie as it was decent still compared to local brands with 2MP front cameras.

Runs on Android 5.1 but less of bloats. Oddly enough it lacks Microsoft suites which we can find via other Samsung models. Does have visual controls like control font and also features gestures and motion control. We have not encountered lags while navigating through the device.

Battery is reduced at 4000mAh but with more updated chipset and redduce screen size it should do better job staying alive or always on.

The major drawback however is that it looks like for Galaxy Tab A 2016, Samsung has do away the SPen. I am sure artist, writers, creatives and scribblers would miss this feature.

To conclude, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016 is a reliable tablet with decent performance with Phone capabilities and LTE. Although we miss the SPen as it was the signature of the A series.

Spotted via Abenson website for 9,990 Pesos! Guess with trimmings of some features it cost less.

It is also now available with selected Samsung Concept stores. No demo unit yet but they have it.

However, trends change and came a more sophisticated smartwatch that can do the fitness band’s job and more. Smartwatch technology has proven to be truly liberating and empowering that triathletes, such as the members of Tri Six Fiv, never go out for a run without strapping on their Samsung Gear S2.

The Gear S2 showcases a circular interface on a a clear and bright 1.2 sAmoled screen that you can navigate through its extensive apps and features via rotating bezel. The Gear S2 has IP68 certification that can withstand water up to 30 minutes in 1.5 meters of water, ready to face the elements. The Gear S2 comes in two models: classic and sports with personalized and interchangeable watch faces and wrist straps for utmost versatility.

Five triathletes—namely, Xander Angeles, Dwan Abanto, Arvin Alvin, Denise Hernandez, and Nico Valdez—say that smartwatch technology has become indispensable in their training. Huddling together over a healthy breakfast, the Tri Six Fix members marveled at how their training programs have benefited all thanks to this new wearable technology.

Xander Angles sets up his Gear S2

Ace celebrity photographer and triathlete Xander Angeles relies heavily on his favorite app on the Samsung Gear S2—the heart rate monitor. “It’s very important to know the heart rate, since that dictates my pace. In the past, I had to stop what I was doing to check this, but now I know everything in real time—it’s truly liberating,” he says.

Coach Dwan Abanto checks her Gear S2’s step counter

Fitness guru Dwan Abanto uses the Gear S2 in training clients. She has downloaded an app called the Workout Trainer on the smartphone to check the intensity of a given activity. “It’s like having your own personal trainer,” she enthuses.  Among the pre-loaded apps, her favorites are the water and caffeine intake counter, which enable her to monitor her consumption which is very important to her health regimen.

Veteran triathlete Arvin Alvina, who will compete in Iron Man Barcelona, relies heavily on his Gear S2 especially for training. “I need to monitor so many stats, and it is truly helpful in helping me attain fitness goals and monitoring my performance. I also like the way it’s constructed—it has a rotating bezel that makes it easy for me to go from one app to another, plus it’s really lightweight. It also has a long battery life, which is perfect for my needs.”

Like her fellow athletes, runner Denise Hernandez loves the Gear S2’s health monitoring functions, but her favorite feature is its ability to receive messages even without holding onto the phone. ”I can never be disconnected even when I go out for runs, but it is downright inconvenient to carry a smartphone. With the Gear S2, I can keep in touch and be apprised of whatever is happening, allowing me peace of mind whenever I start training,” she says.

Another Tri Six Fiv member Nico Valdes shares that he enjoys the way the Gear S2 seamlessly connects with his Samsung smartphone. “Pairing it with the phone allows you to enjoy more functions, which makes it even more fun to use. The Gear S2 has phone-like features, and it can even load photos. It’s unbelievably user-friendly and easy to navigate, especially with the rotating bezel that lets me tap into a wide assortment of apps. Even when I’m not training, I can use the Gear S2 to check and reply to messages. I can even wear it for other activities as it goes very well with casual wear. I really can’t find anything more versatile and useful than the Gear S2. For a triathlete, it’s a necessity,” he says.

Engineered to suit the needs of active types, the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch allows athletes and fitness enthusiasts to monitor their fitness and activity stats in real time even while off-training in a simple, convenient way. With its powerful health tracker app - S Health, monitors the most important stats such as heart and pulse rate, user’s liquid intake, the number of calories burned, and hours spent walking, running, sitting down, and curling up in bed. It even sends motivational messages to keep the user’s spirits up.

With the Gear S2, triathletes have discovered an entirely new dimension in training, and it just gets better with every turn.

The New Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S comes with similar design with Arc Back, Rear Volume controls, and metal-brushed finished that houses the same 5.5 inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass for immersive viewing pleasure.

Better computing power as it packs Snapdragon 615 with Adreno 405 GPU that is supported by ample memory at 3GB and internal storage at 32GB. This should rival Asus own ZenFone Selfie in terms of performance. This should be great news for gamers and multi-taskig users.

Optics remains the same with 13MP primary rear camera at f/2.0 apeture, 5P Largan Lenses and has Laser Auto Focus and LED Flash. Front Camera is at 5MP also has f/2.0 apeture. What I like about its camera, is it is great dealing with light, it focuses fast and offers manual mode for more creative control.

WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS is available as your regular set of connectivity features. Cellular Data is handled by ultra fast LTE if not HSPA+ / 3G via which ever sim you use either Sim 1 or Sim2 as this a Dual Sim handset.
