CES 2016 Huawei Announces Mate 8 Smartphone and MediaPad M2 Tablet

Huawei officially announces Mate 8 and Mediapad M2 Tablet!



Starting of with their newest Mate 8 beautifully crafted metal body with 6 inch Full HD 1080p Display with heightened contrast and saturation. Under the hood, it is powered by Octa-Core Kirin 950 Processor with Mali-T880 GPU plus IntelliSense I5 co-processor for sensors. Has Thermal controls with 6 thermal mechanics and with DX19 highly conductive material. There are two variants the 3GB RAM 32GB Internal and 4GB RAM with 64GB Internal. Storage Expandability is possible but you need sacrifice its Dual Sim function since it utilizes hybrd SIM/MicroSD Slot.



As for camera features, it utilizes a 1/2.8" Sony IMX 298 Sensor at 16MP f/2.0 aperture for its primary rear camera and 8MP f2.4 aperture front camera. Makes use of Hybrid PDAF+CAF Auto-focus as well as Optical Image Stabilization for fast focusing and capturing subjects and less chances of blur. Has 3 meter Microphone range and supports directional microphone modes that lets you focus on what to record.



It is a Dual-Sim capable handset but like I said it makes use of hybrid slot. LTE Cat6 is supported for high speed data internet connection. Improved WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS are also present.Makes use of Nano Sims.

Now moving on to tablet offering which is the MediaPad M2.



MediaPad M2 sports a 10 inch FHD 1920 x 1200 resolution IPS Display powered by octa-core Kirin 930 processor and also comes in two variants 2GB RAM / 16GB Internal Storage or 3GB RAM / 64GB Internal Storage.



What set the MediaPad M2 apart is it musical qualities as it makes use of Harman Kardon Audio and it carries pen support with 2048 pressure levels.



As for connectivity, I am sure the regular set is there as WiFi and Bluetooth. There is an LTE model available.

Samsung bags 38 CES 2016 Innovation Awards

Samsung wins 38 prestigious International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 Innovation Awards by the Consumer Technology Association™ (CTA), the producer of CES 2016 recognizing achievements in product design and engineering judged by eminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade media. Samsung has been honored with one more Best of Innovation Award this year than last year. Samsung still continues to innovate and be the global leader  in consumer electronics, semiconductors and telecommunications.
