Huawei Ascend Mate 7 - Battery Smartphone King?

Villman just announced that they are taking pre-orders for Huawei Ascend Mate 7.

This monster of a smartphone from its huge 6 inch FHD In-Cell LTPS Display boasting 83% Screen-to-Body Resolution with only 2.9mm bezel. On the looks side it does resembles HTC One Max with its matte metal finish, curvature and accentual lines including the placement of camera and fingerprint sensor.

For its internals, powering the device is Hisilicon Kirin 925 Octa-Core Processor with Mali-T628 Graphic Card. With Villman, it has the 3GB RAM and 32GB Phone Storage variant.

Employs a 13MP Back camera f/2.0 aperture 5-piece aspherical lens and 4th Gen Sony BSI sensor supported with LED Flash as well as 5MP front camera that will sure produce improved output in pictures or videos even in low light.

Below the camera is a fingerprint scanner with one-touch unlock no need other buttons to press.

For connectivity, fast LTE data is supported well if your network won't limit you that is. You do have WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. MicroUSB port for charging and pc syncing.

On the software side, it runs on Android KitKat with the new EMUI 3.0 on top. It embraces soft button icons of Android Lolipop. Some of you might not be familiar, it is like iOS where the absence of App Drawer with all apps and widgets are on the homescreen. You have Themes and be able to download online to customized the overall look from homescreen, lockscreen, icons, wallpaper and sounds. If you want quick and easy, Simple UI is best for easy breezy simple-to-use interface. A security app that controls permissions including other from network firewall and spam calls and messages.

Moving to Ascend Mate 7, most prominent feature which is its 4100mAh battery that last for 2 days on moderate use of course but is a rare feat in the realm of smartphone industry. It should last more with Power-Saving app on board with modes that depends on your usage and if your running low and need for just call and emergencies then Ultra-Power saving mode will surely save you. Oh if you are wonder, it supports ultra fast charging.

I have the old orginal Ascend Mate and believe battery life is just incomparable. With the Ascend Mate 7 good becomes better with better display, high powered cpu, upgraded camera but one complaint is that Huawei is poor in terms of software and updates. The Ascend Mate 7 is a powerhouse nevertheless because it last longer than other devices in the market.

Priced at 27,888 Pesos. If you are on HSBC then you can get it on installment basis. So what you waiting for Pre-Order if you want! Look Here
