VoLTE, the first fully IPS-based carrier-grade voice service wherein high-definition quality phone calls with almost no background noise are made using LTE Networks instead over voice network. This adds benefits of able two make and receive calls even while using mobile applications simultaneously, reducing waiting time as there won’t be a need to shift between networks.
Smart Prepaid and Smart Signature customer can now enjoy the service with nationwide coverage. You just need a VoLTE capable smartphone with a Smart LTE SIM to enjoy the service with another VoLTE user on the other line.VoLTE-capable smartphones include flagship, midrange and some entry-level phones from various brands. You can check via your smartphone settings if VoLTE is supported or might as well update it to the latest Android firmware if available. Just enable the service via your settings and once activated, customer can make VoLTE calls via their native dialer.
Calls made from VoLTE and VoWiFI will be charge similar to that of regular calls against the customer’s subscription. Those without active subscription, local and international voice and text rates applies.
