IFA 2016: Acer New Convertibles Spin Series Laptops Spin 1 Spin 3 Spin 5 Spin 7

Acer expands their convertible laptop line up with their Spin Series.



Offers a wide variety of choices for different needs, with the Spin 7 as the premiere line, Spin 5 and Spin 3 for solid performance with latest technologies while the Spin 1 is ideal for students or beginners.

Acer Spin 7 is for portability and flexibility houses a 14-inch Full HD IPS on a 13-inch all-aluminum uni-body protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.  It has a Matte black chassis with polished silver hinges and diamond-cut edges accents for grand and contemporary look.

Under the hood, Spin 7 makes use of the latest 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor  for utmost performance complimented with  up to 8GB of memory and a speedy 256GB SSD.

Makes use of Dual USB 3.1 Type-C ports for faster direct connection for charging, data, and external display.

Thinner than a standard DVD case, the Spin 7 is a mere 0.43 inches thin (10.98 mm) and weighs just 2.6 pounds (1.2 kgs) and serves you up to 8 hours of battery life.



Next is the Spin 5 which features Acer’s proprietary wobble-free 360 degree dual-torque hinge. Having  fabric-like appearance with its  crossed hairline brush finish on  aluminum top cover which is anti-smudge and fingerprints as well as provide a good grip to it. Sports a bright 13.3 inch Full HD IPS touchscreen Display can be used with an optional Acer Active Pen with Windows Ink.

Also powered by 7th Generation Intel Core processors for incredible performance. With fast and abundant storage  up to 16GB of fast DDR4 memory and up to 512GB of SSD storage.

Offers up to 10 hours of battery life which is pretty decent with core processors on board.

For a larger Display, Spin 3 is for you with its 15.6 inch HD or Full HD IPS display and comes with a sporty brushed hairline finish cover. Solid performance is assured with 6th Generation Intel Core processors, up to 12GB of fast DDR4 memory, and dual storage support, and comes with both solid state drives (up to 256GB) and hard drives (up to 1TB). Comes with  back-lit ergonomic keyboard with a 1.6 mm keystroke for comfortable typing.  Up to 9.5 hours of battery life,

If affordability is what you require then Spin 1 is for you. Comes in models with 13-inch or 11.6-inch Full HD IPS displays that may be powered by  new Intel Pentium or Celeron processors. Supports Acer Active Pen with Windows Ink so you could easily take notes and features a display that’s covered with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass letting you have a sturdy laptop that get you through the tough times of college or high school.

Depending on model, they offer fast and reliable wireless connectivity with 802.11ac MU-MIMO wireless technology, providing up to 3 times faster2 downloads. They may also feature Acer BluelightShield which minimizes eye strain, Acer Color Intelligence which maximizes color saturation for bright and clear visuals, and Acer TrueHarmony for crisp and clear audio.

On the Software side, it will run the latest Windows 10 OS.

The Acer Spin 7 will be available in North America in October with prices starting at $1,199; and in EMEA in October with prices starting at €1,299; and in China in September with prices starting at ¥8,999.
The Acer Spin 5 will be available in North America in October with prices starting at $599; and in EMEA in September with prices starting at €599.
The Acer Spin 3 will be available in North America in October with prices starting at $499; and in EMEA in September with prices starting at €599.
The Acer Spin 1 will be available in North America in December with prices starting at $249; and in EMEA in November with prices starting at €299; and in China in October with prices starting at ¥2,999.
