Cherry Mobile Unveils NFC enabled Rave 2.0

Cherry Mobile has finally unveiled the RAVE 2.0, its first Near Field Communication capable handset for the Philippine Market.

If you are new to this, basically it's a new form of connectivity wherein it utilizes radio communication by touching or getting close proximity between two devices. It is popularly used in mobile payments (like jollibee happy card), data syncing and the like (parang dati Infrared (IR) lang din pero faster). You will be able to test this when you purchase the device which comes with NFC speakers.

In terms of hardware, it is powered by 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor Mediatek MTK6589 with PowerVR SGX 544 MP coupled with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage on a 5.3 qHD IPS Display. On the side its optics - 12MP main snapper and 2MP front. It will also have the usual connectivity such as WiFi and Bluetooth other than NFC. Will be sold at 8,999.00.
