It does have a slim profile and is light at only 313g which can be attributed to its plastic construction. Upfront is its 8 inch XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) HD Display LCD Display and is powered by 64 bit Snapdragon 410 Quad-Core Processor with Adreno 306 Graphics.
Just the basic camera features at 5MP Rear Camera and 2MP Front Camera. It goes the same way for connectivity with the WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. There are two models though - WiFi only and LTE model.
The Galaxy Tab A comes with S-Pen features that let you write in your hand writing or draw. Great for taking down notes while in a meeting or doing creative stuff like painting.
Battery is at 4200mAh that is quoted to last 13 hours for internet use and 12 hours of video playback.
On the software side, it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Samsung Touchwiz UI as well as other propriety apps. It is also bundled with Microsoft Office Suite which is great for working while on the go.
It has a price tag of 15,990! This isthe LTE Model and Not the WiFi Only Model.
