Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus retains curved edge front and back panels housed in metal frame. One of the biggest change is its display as it now feature Infinity Display at QuadHD+ (2960x1440 resolution 18.6:9 aspect ratio) 5.8 inch for S8 while 6.2 inch for Samsung S8 Plus. Screen is really made for multitasking and of course entertainment as it is first smartphone with Mobile HDR certification. Still has IP68 for water and dust resistance.
Powering the device is a new Samsung Exynos 8895 Octa-Core Processor with either 2.3GHz Quad + 1.7GHz Quad or 2.35GHz Quad + 1.9GHz Quad clock setup. Memory is at 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and will have 64GB internal UFS 2.1 storage.
As for camera it features a 12MP Dual Pixel camera with f/1.7 aperture with updated Smart OIS to keep thing steady while taking photos and video. Front Camera is at 8MP with Smart AF. Comes with new Augmented Stickers and Filters.
Comes with updated Wireless connection from WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. NFC is present to cater Samsung Pay. Samsung S8 and S8 Plus will have Gigabit LTE for upgraded internet connection on the go. Makes use of USB Type-C port for direct connection. Security has been a priority as it comes with an Fingerprint Sensor as well as Iris and Face Scanner.
As for battery, Samsung Galaxy S8 will carry a 3000mAh while Galaxy S8 Plus at 3500mAh. It support fast charging for wireless and direction connection.
Other than that Samsung has updated its User Interface and adds Bixby AI that integrated to the system that offer personalized help based on what it learns from your interests, situation and location. Samsung DeX is a new solution transforms your smartphone into a desktop by providing a secure desktop-like experience (hmm like Windows 10?).
A new new Gear VR with Controller is also introduced as well as new Gear 360 to create 4K 360-degree videos and 15MP photos.
April 21 Global Release. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus offered in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold.
Package will include Handset, USB Type-C Cable, Travel Adapter, USB Connector (C to A), Micro USB Connector (C to B), Ejection Pin, Earphones tuned by AKG plus Ear Tips, Quick Start Guide & Smart Switch Leaflet.
